7. Connect one end of the ribbon cable to the J1M1 header on the RMM3 card.
8. Connect the other end of the ribbon cable to header J2A1 on the I/O riser.

9. Install the I/O riser. For instructions, see “Installing the I/O Riser” on page 92.
10. Install the top cover. For instructions, see “Installing the Top Cover” on page 83.
Removing the Intel®RMM3
1. Remove the top cover. For instructions, see “Removing the Top Cover” on page 82.
2. Remove the I/O riser card. For instructions, see “Removing the I/O Riser” on page 92.
3. Set the I/O riser card on a static-controlled surface with the components facing up.
4. Disconnect the ribbon cable from the Intel®RMM3 card and the I/O Riser.
5. Unscrew the RMM3 from the steel I/O Riser end plate.
6. Install the I/O riser. For instructions, see Installing the I/O Riser” on page 92.
7. Replace the top cover. For instructions, see “Installing the Top Cover” on page 83.
